Dining in Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Indiana has a variety of things to see and do. One aspect of Indy is its dining options. There are a variety of restaurants found near downtown Indianapolis.

There are many different American restaurants downtown, but one of the most popular is The Capital Grille restaurant. This restaurant takes pride in its dry aged steaks and its wine selection. One of the more popular meals is the sliced filet mignon with cippolini onions and wild mushrooms. This restaurant offers an elegant club atmosphere and more than three hundred and fifty types of wine.

Those that are more interested in Asian cuisine may want to try the Ginza Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. This restaurant offers a meal and entertainment with its traditional Teppan Yaki, or tabletop, cooking. Diners will enjoy the house specials. One of these is the Circle City dinner, which includes Hibachi steak, Chicken, Scallops, and Shrimp. There is also an array of sushi options on the menu.

There are also plenty of Italian restaurants found in downtown Indianapolis. One of these dining options is Agio. The menu prepared by executive chef Joseph Heidenreich offers delicious Italian entrées and pastas. The Grilled Chicken and Crab Fettuccini and the Grilled Salmon Napoleon are a couple of the options found on this menu.

Adobo Grill is one of the many Mexican restaurants found in town. Adobo Grill prides itself on having traditional meals as well as high quality grilled items. A couple of the menu items are the Enchiladas de Pollo and grilled Carne Asada. When it comes to the appetizers the signature guacamole and homemade salsa are definitely worth a try.

Indianapolis is also home to a few specialty restaurants. One such option is the Melting Pot. This restaurant specializes in fondue. The Melting Pot offers a unique dining experience with a different fondue for each course. Cheese fondues are offered for the appetizers, which include apples, vegetables, and breads. This is followed by a few different cooking fondue options for the entrées. Finally, guests may enjoy a chocolate dessert fondue served with items such as strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, and more.
